We do not lie when we say the world is becoming more technological as days go by. In the last 100 years we have been able to fly by plane to another continent within hours; talk to whoever, whenever and wherever we want with mobile phones; buy what you need and it arrives home in a couple of days, we have even gone to the moon in spaceships. But in which point is this good or not for the Earth and society?
It is a fact that due to the improvements in technology we have had several advances like widespread communication around the world, creation of multifarious jobs, general decrease of prices and a sort of developments that benefit society.
On the other hand, globalisation has its disadvantages such as the increase of inequality; it is true that more jobs are provided, but workers protections are reduced. But the biggest drawback is the contribution to environmental degradation, logging and endangered animals. Not talking about the spread of infectious diseases like the recent pandemic.
To sum up, I partly agree that we may benefit from globalisation in making our lives much easier. Overall, I think that the blurring of borders does not always have the positive effect of integration, quite the opposite, it very often has a disrruptive effect and deepens the economic and social gap, so detrimental for the underviledged.
